The Regional Development Fund of Crete and the Energy Centre of the Region of Crete in cooperation with an external consultant launched the process of implementing the live workshops (Living Labs) at the Gymnasium and Lyceum of Agios Myronas on 13/02/2023 with multidisciplinary presentations to high school students/teachers and high school students/teachers.
These multi-thematic presentations will focus on climate change, sustainable energy transition, renewable energy sources, energy saving, energy saving technologies, school buildings and homes, sustainable mobility and good energy behaviour to reduce the energy and ecological footprint.
These reports are the necessary general framework to develop innovative ideas and practices directly related to the project of energy upgrading of the school building (thermal insulation, double glazing, boiler change, meters, etc.) and electromobility installations (charger and electric bus).
The meeting and presentation is part of the Action Plan for the implementation of the Living Labs that resulted from previous workshops of RDFC-EC with teachers and principals both in school buildings and in the offices of RDFC.
The presentations were made by Mr. George Pantelakis, Head of Department B of the Regional Development Fund of Crete and were attended by about 250 students and many teachers. At the end there was a dialogue with questions mainly from students and a small buffet was offered to all.
